Plant-based is an exciting and creative cuisine in its own right. One that selects ingredients carefully and keeps surprising us with its possibilities.
I’m Ben, a food lover and a keen cook who has gone vegan. My mother – who worked as a chef for many years – has been a huge influence on my love for good food and teaching me how to cook and develop recipes. I’m also bringing to this blog my background in chemistry, to really dig into the task of creating traditionally non-vegan foods with new 100% plant-based recipes.
I enjoy novel food, sometimes downright weird food, and I also love a classic dish done well.
The goal is flavour, but behind that is chemistry and I will easily spend as much time looking over food science journals as any of the latest cookery books.
